DR. ABBY HENDRYX, PT DPT

Clinic Manager and Physical Therapist | Burien Clinic | she/her

Dr. Abby Hendryx earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Biology from Seattle Pacific University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University. She has additional training as a Level 2 certified running gait analyst and in the treatment of temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD).

Role at Pain Science PT

As Clinic Manager of our Burien location, Dr. Hendryx balances leadership and patient care. She manages daily operations while maintaining a full caseload, ensuring patients receive both high-quality treatment and a welcoming clinic environment.

Why Physical Therapy?

For Dr. Hendryx, physical therapy is about more than treatment—it’s about connection. She values the unique opportunity PTs have to spend time with patients, understand what motivates them, and help them reclaim movement and activity. Guided by her faith, she views her work as a way to serve her community through both skill and compassion.

Approach to Care

Dr. Hendryx has a special interest in working with runners, as well as patients with TMD, foot, and ankle conditions. With a strong background in manual therapy, she blends hands-on techniques with patient education and movement retraining. Her philosophy is rooted in empowerment: helping patients build independence, resilience, and confidence in their bodies.

Patient Impact

One of her most memorable cases involved a mother living with persistent pain who felt unable to care for her young children. After working together, this patient was able to return to play and fully engage in family life—later introducing Dr. Hendryx to her kids as “the PT who helped her get her life back.”

  • I hope patients and colleagues alike notice that I truly care and am committed to helping people get where they want to go. My work is guided by my favorite verse, Ephesians 2:10.
