Joelianne Jose
Physical Therapy Technician
Joelianne graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelors in Kinesiology Pre-Physical Therapy. She is currently applying to physical therapy school.
Personal Life
Joelianne's friends and family describe her as caring, creative, and diligent. Outside of work, she enjoys going on walks, cuddling with her dog, Miko, playing tennis, cooking, crocheting, and watching Korean dramas with her mom. She also loves exploring downtown Seattle with her boyfriend and traveling to different places all around the world with friends and family. Her family loves the holiday season, especially Christmas. They start decorating their house as early as the end of October! She loves being around family during the holidays because they all gather to cook their favorite Filipino foods, including lumpia, spaghetti, leche flan, and much more.
Why Physical Therapy
Joelianne chose to pursue the career path of physical therapy because she has always been an active person. Growing up, she participated in dance (ballet, tap, modern, and jazz), figure skating, and tennis. Through her experience in sports, she discovered that she loved learning about the human body and how movement plays an important role in improving one’s quality of life. She always knew she wanted to work in the medical field, and she chose physical therapy in particular because she realized how it provides her with the opportunity to have more human connection through interacting with a diverse range of patients.
Why Pain Science Physical Therapy
Joelianne has been working at Pain Science Physical Therapy as a physical therapist technician since early July 2023. Her responsibilities include checking patients in and out, scheduling future visits, keeping the clinic clean and organized, and completing front desk tasks. Her favorite thing about her role is interacting with the patients and the team. Every day, she looks forward to communicating with everyone by simply hearing how their day is going and being a helping hand when they need it. Having Murphy around is also a perk of working at Pain Science PT!
Joelianne chose to work at Pain Science Physical Therapy because she has heard so many great things about it from Son. She loves how passionate each team member is about serving their community and learning more about each and every patient that walks through the doors. She is also really interested in learning how to utilize graded motor imagery from Pain Science PT because it is similar to concepts she learned in undergrad while studying sport psychology.
She thinks patients choose Pain Science Physical Therapy because of the clinic’s warm and inviting environment. The team welcomes everyone with a warm smile and genuinely cares about how to treat their pain and injuries. In the next five years, she hopes to see Pain Science PT’s team achieve their dream of expanding into multiple locations to help more people!
