Dean came to PT with constant chronic left knee pain after an injury at work. Prior to the injury Dean was an avid ½ marathoner and had not been able to run for several months since the injury. Dean had already had one round of PT in another clinic with some improvement but still not able to return to prior functional activities. Dean’s primary treatment was the utilization of pain education and graded motor imagery. Below is what Dean has to say about his experience here at Pain Science Physical Therapy.

“My experience has been good. When I first arrived I had frequent pain in my left knee and was unable to jog or run as well as other activities at work and home. Strangely, I have much less pain (nerve pain) in my left knee. Orit has helped me dramatically. I can now jog/ run for a few miles with much less pain/discomfort and work activities are not a problem. Orit is a pain (nerve pain) specialist and I highly recommend her. I would not be at this level without her help.”
I have to tell you that Dean was an absolutely exemplary patient in all respects. He was also a HUGE doubter of everything we were doing from the beginning to the end, yet he signed on to work hard with trying to understand all this pain stuff because he really wanted to get back to his activities. He did great with PT and now has the tools to continue to improve on his own! Great job Dean![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
