Caelen graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelors of Science in Natural Science and is currently finishing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of New Mexico.
Caelen chose to go into the field of physical therapy because of her lifelong interest in movement and human anatomy. Because she herself has benefited from physical therapy in the past after injuries from dancing and rock climbing. Caelen firmly believes that everyone can benefit from physical therapy.
Since beginning her doctoral level practical experience at Pain Science Physical Therapy in March 2024, Caelen has been working alongside Dr. Abby, helping her treat and educate patients. She has been enjoying her time at Pain Science PT because the team is supportive, inviting, and just as interested in teaching as learning. She believes that patients choose Pain Science PT because they know the physical therapists listen to them and treat them as active members of their own care. Everyone who leaves PSPT leaves with a better understanding of their body and a tool bag of things they can use to be independent in their own health and wellbeing.
Outside of work, Caelen enjoys mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, swimming in mountain lakes and rivers, reading, and dancing. She has been taking advantage of all the gorgeous recreational activities there are in the PNW. Upon graduating in May, she plans to spend a couple months in Guatemala to increase her Spanish fluency in order to provide care to both English and Spanish speakers.
