Dr. Ernesto Garcia-Molina earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 2022. In 2016, he graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Exercises Sciences.
Dr. Ernesto moved from his hometown (San Rafael, CA) to start UW’s PT program in September of 2019. His friends and family describe him as “hard working, open minded, and silly.” Outside of work he enjoys drawing, painting, watching movies, watching basketball and soccer, and being in the sun.
One of his favorite family traditions is watching basketball all day on Christmas day since his family typically celebrates on Christmas Eve. During the holidays his family makes Pozole, which is a tasty traditional Mexican stew. He also enjoys Arroz con Leche, a rice pudding dish, during the holidays.
Another fun fact about Dr. Ernesto is that he has 4 sisters!
Dr. Ernesto is a physical therapist because he believes in the power of movement! He loves working directly with patients and making strong bonds. He also enjoys listening to his patient’s unique stories. He truly believes that a strong therapeutic alliance improves recovery and patient outcomes.
He hopes to deliver excellent skilled therapy as he once received during his bout of PT for his knee ligament injury in 2016.
Dr. Ernesto chose PSPT because he did his last clinical internship there and had such a great experience that he had to come back! During his internship, he gained valuable experience in pain neuroscience education and graded motor imagery to better serve his patients.
