Balance 1.0 Six-Week Workshop
In this workshop you will learn balance tips, skills, and practical exercises to improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling. You will get a library of evidence-based balance exercises and practice them in the class with our physical therapist, Dr. Maria Garvey-Caruso. Join us as we practice simple yet effective exercises that strengthen our balance from our heads to our toes.
Balance 1.0 classes will be held 12:30pm - 1:15pm, every Wednesday from 1/17/24 to 2/21/24.

Balance 2.0 Six-Week Workshop
This workshop has been developed based on requests from our initial balance workshop participants! If you want to keep improving your balance abilities with the guidance of a physical therapist then this class is for you. We will spend 6 weeks building strength, endurance, and integrating your balance skills to help you feel sturdier in a variety of environments.
Balance 2.0 Courses will be held 2:00pm - 2:45pm, every Monday from 4/8/24 to 5/13/24.

Wondering which class is right for you? If you use an assistive device (cane/walker/etc.) or are feeling nervous about things like walking on uneven ground or balancing with eyes closed, then Balance 1.0 is a perfect place to start!
If you have already been practicing balance activities and are comfortable pushing yourself a little more (eyes closed, unstable surfaces, single leg balance) then Balance 2.0 is for you!
